De Karman fellowships are open to students in any discipline, including international students, who are currently enrolled in a university or college located within the United States.

A minimum of ten (10) fellowships, $22,000 for doctoral students and $14,000 for undergraduate students, will be awarded for the regular academic year.

The fellowships, however, may not be used to defray tuition costs or be held concurrently with any other major fellowship or grant. Proposed research may be conducted at a single or multiple sites abroad, in the U. Fellowships are for 9-12 months and provide an annual stipend of up to $25,000.
